My name is David Ungar and I am a 5th generation jeweller. My journey began with the passion and the determination to achieve something great.

My Father and Grandfather were born in the small Czechoslovakian town of Munkacs, and worked extremely hard on their dream, to become distinguished and celebrated jewellers.

I too began my career from humble beginnings. From the age of 16, I had an instinctive desire to discover more, and to propel myself further. After a 4 year apprenticeship in Johannesburg South Africa, I moved to Antwerp in Belgium where I worked at a diamond factory to further my Knowledge. I then moved on to Italy and the UK to expand my experience and gain a broader understanding of the intricacies of the jewellery industry. It has now been 30 years since my voyage of discovery began. Since then, I have sold over 10 million articles of gold jewellery priced from £10 to £50 000. Currently, my factory in Johannesburg consists of 40 staff members who all share the same passion, pride and desire to create spectacular masterpieces the world can appreciate. We export to the UK, Australia, the United States and Europe, and now with this online extension to my business, it opens up further possibilities and markets. It is a luxury portal, a cyber-boutique where people all over the world can discover for themselves the unique range and ethos behind the David Ungar “Brand”. A place where the senses are enticed and the imagination is stirred.

Utilising the online environment to exhibit my talent is a natural evolution.It is an innovative new platform for me to display my unique 18-Karat Signature Collection, from rings, necklaces, earrings, cufflinks and brooches.
